The Argentine Embassy is located in a former mansion built in 1895 according to the plans of the architect Jacques Hermant. The three-storey building has two architectural and decorative features: the frieze of the Galerie des Singes on the first floor and the Moorish living room, now the Jorge Borges library, on the ground floor.
