The promotion of melodies of oral tradition, intangible musical heritage, takes a particular meaning during the European Heritage Days. The imposing dimensions of the Pantheon give the program a particular musical direction, so the selected pieces will privilege, in line with the spirit of the monument and its acoustic constraints, a solemn character and slow movements.
The device will be sound according to a particular geography, also thought especially for the place.

- polyphonic concert for 9 mixed voices, 1 piano
- and 150 amateur choristers - direction Catherine Simonpietri
On September 17, 150 amateur choristers from Paris and Seine-Saint-Denis will join the system and sing, in various configurations, three «Legacy songs» from the collection and originating from Ireland, Japan and Mali. Laurent Durupt at the piano, will give the concert a poetic red thread by his improvisations leading the listener from one universe to another. He will also play L. Berio’s Wasserklavier, a minimalist piano piece whose minute and repetitive movements evoke the slow oscillation of the pendulum.
