Dreamlike ceramic by Guillaume Bottazzi in Vincennes
This year the famous artist Guillaume Bottazzi invites us to a gargantuan artistic journey with 40 works of art to discover from North to South of France as part of the 40th edition of the European Heritage Days 2023. 21 of them are to be discovered in Ile-de-France.
This original ceramic work, which measures 1.80 meters high by 3.80 meters long, was made by Guillaume Bottazzi in 2023. The technique used by the painter allows him to achieve gradients, contrary to the possibilities offered by ceramics until now where the forms were constrained to flat surfaces. It can produce serotonin that contributes to the feeling of well-being. It also helps regulate the mood and reduce the anxiety of the observer. This unique and dreamlike creation seems to float in the air. It creates a poetic, enchanting space that evolves according to our imagination.
Guillaume Bottazzi is a French visual artist with a psychological and poetic approach. It has been operating for 30 years in Europe, Asia and the United States.
Pioneer of the neuroaesthetic according to the newspaper Les Echos, the artist signed more than 100 works of art in public spaces. It receives private and public commissions from museums, such as the Miyanomori Museum of Art, who commanded him the largest painting in Japan that dresses the museum, the Century Art Museum or the Mori Museum; cities, such as Brussels Capital or the city of Tokyo, with a work of 100m²; ministries, such as the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Health.
Since 2004, Guillaume Bottazzi has been represented by the Itsutsuji gallery. This major gallery in Japan allowed him to win with several artistic commissions. She discovered artists such as Simon Hantaï, Pierre Soulages, Yayoi Kusama, Ay-o, Guillaume Bottazzi, but also introduced movements like the Supports/Surfaces group, including Claude Viallat.
