The judicial district of Epinal forms a set of courts distributed on Epinal (judicial court - former district court and district court -, commercial court, labor court) and on Saint-Dié (local court - former district court- and labour tribunal).
Since 1 January 2011 and the completion of the reform of the judicial map, the District Court of Saint-Dié has been deleted and the pending cases forwarded to the District Court of Epinal, today called a judicial court and which is in the department of Vosges the only common law jurisdiction of first instance in civil, commercial and criminal matters, having jurisdiction for disputes that have not been assigned to another jurisdiction.
