The municipal library of Bar-sur-Aube was created in 1884 in the premises of the city hall. She moved in 1989 to the Hôtel des comtes de Brienne (16th - 18th century), located at 13 rue Saint-Pierre, in the historic heart of the city.
After an expansion in 2005, the media library expanded. Initially with a surface of 550 m², it now accommodates its readers in a space of 1400 m².
