Rue Saint-Jude, 51300 Vitry-le-François

The former prison, located between Rue Saint Jude and the Quai des Fontaines is a heritage monument of Vitry-le-François. The prison was built in 1859 on the site of a chapel, it saw the last capital execution in 1911 and it is closed since 1926\. The municipality has decided to restore it and find new uses that will allow it to revive this building whose roof will be redone in 2017.
