About the location

Église Saint-Parres
Rue Pierre Brossolette, 10410 Saint-Parres-aux-Tertres
  • Aube
  • Grand Est
The church devoted to saint Patrocle (saint Parres), is dated the XVIth century and listed(classified) in conformance with(for) historic monuments. Harmed in 1939, it is restored in 1960s. She keeps an important listed(classified) statuary set(group), in particular a Madonna and Child of the XVIth century in oak, and glass roofs of the XVIth century, also listed(classified). Archaeological excavations(searches) were led nearby and revealed an early Christian necropolis. Today the museum of sarcophagi, which exposes(explains) some of these graves, is next to the church.
