Figurehead of the foreigners' district in Aiacciu, this sumptuous building, built between 1894 and 1896, made Aiacciu one of the most emblematic winter resorts in Europe. The gardens of the Grand Hotel still bear witness to the splendour of that time. Listed in the supplementary inventory of Historical Monuments since 1992, the current gardens were built on a 12,000 m2 park and designed as a lush setting combining exoticism and change of scenery.
