The Maison des Provinces will offer all weekend entertainment open to the public, place du Martroi in Orléans. These activities are part of the theme chosen for the 2023 edition which focuses on Living Heritage. The public will be able to discover the regional cultural heritage of certain French terroirs by learning about dances, music, regional songs as well as by participating in the demonstrations of the Workshops «Arts et Traditions Populaires». The association will celebrate on this occasion, its 90 years of longevity and its members will be happy to meet you to participate in the transmission of this living culture. It was the place where the condemned persons were executed and they served as market in to lisp. This place(square) was included into the city during the construction of second enclosed in the XIVth century. Some vestiges of the Door Bannier are still visible in the parking lot under the place(square). The place(square) of Martroi is the most important place, marked by the equestrian statue of the Virgin inaugurated today on May 8th, 1855\. The statue is the work of the sculptor Foyatier and represents Jeanne d'Arc producing thank God!.
