The Tower Charlemagne is the vestige of collegiate one devoting to saint Martin, built in Middle Ages and for the main part destroyed at the end of the XVIIIth century. According to tradition, the name of the tower calls back(reminds) the location of the burial of Luitgarde, wife of Charlemagne died in Tours(Ballots,Towers) in 800\. In 2011, the ground floor of the tower was done up to reinforce taking over by the inhabitants of Tours of this emblematic patrimonial element.
