Strong place in the Middle Ages, Montpoupon was transformed in the 15th century by becoming a residential residence in a Renaissance style. Owner since 1857, the Motte Saint-Pierre family was able to modernize the castle, in the 1920s, to make it a comfortable residence of the Loire Valley. The castle, immerses you in the family privacy of the owners through a free and sonorized visit in a castle fully furnished from the kitchens to the dining room through the private apartments. The communes make you discover the family’s passion for horses and horses through stables, saddlery, artists' paintings and Squares Hermès. To end your visit, a forest walk is open in the park of the castle.
