In the company of the association "Les Chats du hasard" discover the church of Saint-Rémi and climb the steps that will lead you to the top of its bell tower, rarely open to the public. To enter you will use a narrow wooden door; access to the first level is easy. The second level is accessible to people who are not afraid of vertigo.
An exhibition of photos taken during the work carried out for the motorization of the bell and the replacement of the rooster will be proposed.

About the location

Eglise Saint-Rémi

The term Saint-Rémi (533) under which this building is placed, would suffice to attest to its seniority. As early as the 8th century, there was a well-built stone church built in the middle of the village in pebble rubble, the buttresses and the tower are sandstone. The choir and the sanctuary are lit by 9 ogival crusaders. To the north is a chapel, built as an appetizer. To the south is a beautiful quadrangular tower, of the same length and width, whose roof supports a small steeple covered in slate. An elegant turret encloses the staircase that leads to the two floors of the tower with ogival and semi-circular windows. The front door opens west between two buttresses.
