Chapelle Saint-Jacques
Près du 56 rue de Change, 41100 Vendôme
- Loir-et-Cher
- Centre-Val de Loire
The construction of the Saint-Jacques chapel began in the 12th century because it was a stage on the way to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle. Important works in the 15th and 16th centuries enlarged and embellished the chapel with a flamboyant Gothic decoration giving this monument its current appearance. Since 1982, the Saint-Jacques Chapel has become an essential establishment in the cultural life of Vendée.
