Emmanuel Lansyer (1835-1893) is a landscape painter, pupil of Viollet-le-Duc then of Courbet, a big(great) collector of Asiatic art and of engravings of the XVIIIth and XIXth centuries. In 1893, he(it) leaves to the City, its house of family as well as its collections so that they become a museum, today labéllisé Museum of France and House of the Famous. Environmental garden with panorama on the city of Loaches.
