Conference "The Beauregard sports and leisure park from the origins to the 1940s"
Parc Beauregard invites Claude METTAVANT, historian of the town of Rochecorbon, to present the history of this sports and leisure site created in the second half of the 1930s by a Touraine entrepreneur selling sports items, Marius SELLIER. Its former indoor tennis court was the first built in Indre-et-Loire. Its outdoor swimming pool has contributed for seven decades to the learning of swimming and has been for many Tourangeaux a leisure area where you come with family, friends, or to meet people.
1. Beauregard site before park: 1730-1930
2. Marius SELLIER the initiator and creator of the park
3. Architects BARTHELÉMY and CHALUMEAU (with original plans)
