Michel Granger - Le musée du vivant-AgroParisTech

Founded in 2005, the Museum of Life occupies a unique place in the world as it is the first international museum on ecology. Its purpose is to recall the history of human relations with their environment since prehistory. The Museum of Life lends works created by three artists to the Wood-Stock Association.
Michel Granger > Painter
Michel Granger is a French painter born in Roanne in 1946, graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Lyon. He has lived and worked in Paris since 1969. Michel Granger’s creations are multiple: drawings, paintings, sculptures, press, posters, photos and many writings. His first paintings on the theme of the Earth bear witness to his pioneering aspect of today’s great ecological subjects. Several books retrace his work on the theme of planet Earth.
His work has been published in many newspapers around the world. Jean-Michel Jarre used his paintings to illustrate the covers of several of his records. As a poster boy, he has put his talent at the service of the UN, UNESCO, the Cannes Film Festival, the Cousteau Foundation, Reporters Without Borders and Amnesty International. It is also illustrated in the computer-generated image, especially around ceremonies, such as the International Emmy Award in New York.

About the location

Château du Bouchet
Office Français de la Biodiversité, Rue du Bouchet, 45370 Dry
  • Loiret
  • Centre-Val de Loire
Castle of the XIXth century surrounded with a wooded park of about twenty hectares. The castle of Bouchet is connected(bound) in Cevenay by a long path, undoubtedly to anchor it symbolically in the old(former) heritage. It owes its splendid park sported to his first owner passionate about botany. The castle was built in 1853 on the vestiges of a building of the end of the XVIth century for the family Laage de La Rocheterie. The most famous representative of the latter(this last) was Maxim of Laage, writer and mayor of Dry shortly before the war of 1870\. The domain was acquired(bought back) in 1961 by the national office of hunting and of wildlife and welcomes a training centre for technicians and technicians of environment (game wardens).
