Invented in the 1930s by the painter Jean-Joseph Crotti, gemmail is a particular stained glass technique consisting of the superposition of colored glass on several centimeters of thickness. This exhibition presents part of the Malherbe collection, visible at the gemmail museum in Tours until its closure in 2011.

The Saint-Florentine church was built in 1470 by the Amboisians at the request of Louis XI. It was then called Notre-Dame-en-Greve. In the 19th century, the church was restored in the Gothic Revival style and was listed as a historical monument in 1963.
