This animation is educational, educational and fun. This is an opportunity for the young public to discover the station, how to find it and how to behave. We will also talk about safety!
We will propose to discover the station of Orléans and its railway universe through a playful animation. This game of escape station consists of a track game invented in the world of magicians at school... with stands to discover in the station. On the theme of the game, this will allow to become familiar with the railway transport and facilitate the movements by train.
Families will be independent during the game. The duration is about 1h but can be adjusted according to the age and patience of the children.

About the location

Gare SNCF
Avenue de Paris 6 rue Saint-Yves 45000 Orléans

When the railway arrived in 1843, Orléans had only a simple pier. Destroyed in 1902, the building was replaced by a real station, which itself was badly damaged during the Second World War. The old station disappeared in 1965 in favour of a station designed by the architect J.-B. Hourlier. A building welcoming the buffet gives Rue Saint-Yves. The hall opens Place Albert-I. At the same time, a first phase of construction is undertaken on the open spaces. In the 1980s, the construction of the Place d'Arc shopping centre, bus station and car parks completed the urbanization of the area. The façade of the station was then hidden by the new complex. In 2003, work began on the construction of the new station. Designed by architect J.-M. Duthilleul, the passenger hall, inaugurated in January 2008, is surmounted by a wave-shaped glass roof. Its facade opens onto Avenue de Paris. Reception offices, a waiting room and a more modern display are available to travellers.
