About the location

Vallée des Solvins
Vallée des Solvins 45300 Estouy

The bed of the Egg, in the Pithiverais, was strongly modified since the 19th century by the implantation of several mills. The Solvins Valleys have kept the traces of these past modifications. The presence of the Noue de Solvins, a resurgence of the Beauce aquifer, irrigates these lands all year round. Despite a poplar plantation as early as the 19th century, agricultural depravity and the 1999 storm created major gaps and the development of natural alluvial afforestation.
It is in this valley of nearly 25 hectares that more than 200 species of vascular plants, including the white violet and fern Scolopendre, are developing today.
