The circuit starts on the market square at the tourist office and the team heads towards Cormenon to observe the houses of master tanners and workers. Fortress of the fifteenth century and circular keep of the twelfth century. Towers, courtines, prison, half-timbered house of the fifteenth century. Castle built around 1010 with seigneurial courtyard and lower courtyard each surrounded by an enclosure with fourteen towers and half towers. In the 12th century, an enormous cylindrical keep was added. In the 15th century, the governor’s house (half-timbered house) was built. In the sixteenth century, construction of the secondary residence of the Dukes of Vendôme (ancestors of Henri IV).
