On the occasion of the Heritage Days, the parish priest’s garden of Chédigny offers a watercolour workshop in the heart of its garden. Discover nature from a new angle and share a creative moment with others. Young and old, beginners or experienced, everyone is welcome to participate in this workshop led by Sarah Carvalho.

The garden of Chédigny is not a garden like the others: it is a «village garden», labeled Remarkable Garden. Born about fifteen years ago, by the will of its mayor Pierre Louault with the collaboration of André Ève for the implantation of the first roses, it was designed to return the street to the inhabitants, to make a place of meeting and sharing. No gate, no door, no entrance fee, you access it naturally. The small gardens follow one another and meander along the houses of the village: lianas and roses rise to the assault of the facades, portals, enhancing the beautiful simplicity of the Chédignois habitat. There are 700 roses, mostly old roses, accompanied by thousands of perennials. The peculiarity of the climbing roses of the village is the exuberance mastered thanks to a very specific size.
