Through 70 loaned works, this exhibition aims to understand the revitalization and popularity of the myth of the golden age in the arts in the 19th century until the turn of the 20th century (Ingres, Courbet, Signac, Matisse, Derain, etc.), with regard to major works of the past that have determined the visual devices and figurative attributes of this story (Vasari, Brueghel, Zucchi, etc.).
