In the valley of the Ouche springs, the castle of Lusigny was rebuilt in 1690 on the site of an old fortified farm. With its 63 windows opening onto the park, the house built by the Royer family of Saint-Micault at the end of the 17th century seems dedicated to the landscape. At the heart of the building, the exceptional monumental staircase is classified as a Historic Monument. From generation to generation, the domain passes into the hands of several families who make their changes and transform the place. At the beginning of the 2020s, this heritage that seems out of time does not escape the current climate change that weakens an ecosystem and the very organization of the site. The current owners and other actors of the place accompany this fragment of the world in its evolution, ensuring to preserve its qualities, as well as the biodiversity still remarkable to protect.
