Located at 6 rue d'Avril, close to the abbey’s main gates, this building from the late 12th and early 13th centuries has a vast street façade with two skylights on either side of a corbelled fireplace and an almost total absence of decoration. The town of Cluny has many remains of Romanesque houses, most of which have rich decorations, especially in the skylights. Paradoxically, the coin hotel shows an almost total absence of decor, which is a unique example in Cluny.
