Villon, the highest village in Yonne, organizes an open door to its church and an exhibition of its liturgical vestments. The foundation of the village of Villon where, according to tradition, was born Guillaume de Villon, tutor of the poet François Villon, dates back to the High Middle Ages: it is quoted for the first time in 721 under the name of Videbelom and located in the pagus of Tonnerre. In 1159, Godefroy, bishop of Langres, gave the church of Villon to the abbey of Molesme. The oldest part of Notre-Dame Church is the choir of two bays covered with warhead vaults, illuminated by semicircular bays and with double shaking; it was probably erected in the early thirteenth century. The flat Cistercian bedside was pierced by a triplet whose longer central opening was obstructed by the installation of a late altarpiece.
