The palm room, erected in the wooded park of the castle, is a unique testimony of the sporting heritage of the Renaissance. According to sports historian Serge Vaucelle, it represents both «the last preserved copy of palm rooms (without roof) of the Renaissance and the last survivor of these «French games».
