The pig is a providential animal: it eats everything, it provides a lot of meat and fat and it reproduces easily. Essential and respected in our campaigns – we called him Môssieu – he suffers from a bad reputation (dirty, voracious, impure, etc.). Come and visit the pig: from the soue, his house, through the essential boiler for his food, and discover everything about his life… which is not always pink!

Museum open to the public in 1951, he bears the name of his creator Alice Taverne (1904-1969), whose surveys on local customs go back up(raise) to the thirties. The intimist dimension(size) of this house contributes to give to reconstructed inside a character of authenticity: the peasant room, the grocery, the inn, the workshop(studio) of the dressmaker, the room of the surgeon, the corner(place) of the bonesetter or the schoolroom... The main building(ship) (XVII-XVIIIth century) is a good example of the houses of master(teacher) which influenced local architecture. The administration building (XVIIth century), in initial vocation of attic / cellar, depended on the same set(group).
