" Die Hospices Civils de Lyon schulden Tony Garnier das Edouard Herriot Hospital. Erbaut von 1913 bis 1933 und zum großen Teil unter dem Titel Monuments Historique, ist es heute eines der ältesten Krankenhäuser der HCL und eines der größten Krankenhäuser der Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Tony Garnier entwirft für dieses hochmoderne Krankenhaus eine Pavillonstruktur, die der Vegetation viel Raum gibt und deren Organisation im Laufe der Jahrzehnte an die Bedürfnisse des Krankenhauses angepasst wurde. Heute verfügt das Edouard Herriot Hospital über hervorragende Dienstleistungen in fast allen medizinischen und chirurgischen Fachgebieten, genießt internationales Renommee durch die Durchführung medizinischer Erstaufführungen und wurde 2018 umfassend modernisiert."

The Hospices Civils de Lyon owe Tony Garnier the Edouard Herriot hospital. Built from 1913 to 1933 and largely listed as a Historic Monument, it is today one of the oldest hospitals in the HCL and one of the largest hospitals in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Tony Garnier imagined, for this state-of-the-art hospital, a residential structure that gives a large place to vegetation and whose organization has been adapted over the decades to hospital needs. Today, the Edouard Herriot hospital has excellent services in almost all medical and surgical specialties, enjoys an international reputation thanks to the realization of medical firsts, and was the subject of a major modernization in 2018."

Costruito dal 1913 al 1933 e in gran parte iscritto tra i Monumenti Storici, è oggi uno dei più antichi ospedali dell'HCL e uno dei più grandi ospedali della regione Alvernia-Rodano-Alpi. Tony Garnier immagina, per questo ospedale all'avanguardia della modernità, una struttura ricettiva che lascia ampio spazio alla vegetazione e la cui organizzazione è stata adattata nel corso dei decenni alle necessità ospedaliere. "Les Hospices Civils de Lyon doivent à Tony Garnier l’hôpital Edouard Herriot. Construit de 1913 à 1933 et en grande partie inscrit au titre des Monuments Historiques, il est aujourd’hui l’un des plus anciens hôpitaux des HCL et l’un des plus grands hôpitaux de la région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
Tony Garnier imagine, pour cet hôpital à la pointe de la modernité, une structure pavillonnaire qui fait une large place à la végétation et dont l’organisation a été adaptée au fil des décennies aux nécessités hospitalières.
