In extra-off resonance of the Biennale de la danse, the Company ANOU SKAN celebrates its 30th anniversary... [1993-2023]... and continues the September festivities at the Clos Saint-JeanBenedict giving to contemplate a performance of whirling whose beauty we know thanks to the ritual of the Sama'a of the whirling dervishes registered in the intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The setting of the Clos is embodied in the fragility of dance that transcends sensations to vertigo and unfolds like a moving canvas with the subtle power of the viola. ___________ Dance: Laurent Soubise & Sophie Tabakov Music: Lénaëlle Planat, alto (CNSM de Lyon) Production: Cie Anou Skan Free access/ 2 sessions of 20 minutes (16h & 17h) ___________ In the heart of the Saint-Vincent district, the Clos Saint-Benoît is an exceptional architectural ensemble, witness the major evolutions of the district and the city since the seventeenth. The priory, founded by Benedictine nuns from great Lyon families, and long hidden under the constructions that have been added since the 19th century, regained its shape in the early 2000s thanks to the citizen action of inhabitants gathered within "the association of Clos Saint-Benoît". Throughout the Heritage Days, a 12-panel exhibition, coordinated by Denis Lang, president of the association "Sauvegarde et Embellissement de Lyon", will present the history, safeguarding and urban projects of which Clos Saint-Benoît was the object.
