The Forez-Est territory hosted in 2022-2023 a residency of artists-carpetologists. Carpetology? It is to collect samples of life and testimonies on a given territory. Then, these discoveries are translated into various artistic productions, sometimes realized collectively. On the occasion of the Heritage Days, the museum hosts an exhibition retracing the journey of carpetologists in the 42 municipalities of the country of East Forez. Felt mats, drawings, silkscreens, sounds, costumes,... you will discover Forez-Est and its inhabitants in a whole other way! And in addition: free visit of the museum and its reserves (Giraud workshop) with weaving demonstrations.
