Exhibition of contemporary artists
This third wave of exhibitions at the Sauxillanges Heritage House is similar to a Tsunami. And we do not doubt that the four artists who will take possession of the place will give you strong emotions. First of all Nadine VERGUES and her very singular art. Nadine shapes, the felt that becomes ... faces, busts or characters. “My sculpture just has to send back a beautiful emotion for me to consider it accomplished. In fact, the emotion it gives off is the essence of my work" she says... And it feels! «Link and material are the threads of my work», says Corinne VIGNET. The ceramist likes to stay on the raw aspect of her material. The force that emerges then, brings us back to the essential, the fusion between the living world and the mineral world. Les Causeuses de Jean VINCENT are installed on the ground, ready for the «Palabres». The shape of his sculptures in Raku is inspired by the curves of the rocks and pebbles of the Ocean. Their color seeks to find the transparency of the blues of the Iroise Sea. Will you hear their murmur? Simon ENSOR is an explorer. Constantly back and forth between figuration and abstraction, he works with graphite, charcoal, ink, pastels, watercolor… but can also create or participate in the creation of hybrid, multimedia works. «The goal of all my creative life was to be able to perceive what is beyond oneself, the subject and the page».
