This Gothic church was built by the Carmelite Fathers in the early 14th century. During the Revolution, the monks were driven out and the monument converted into a horse stable. In 1800, residents bought it back to replace their parish church destroyed in 1797\. From then on, the church of the Carmelites took the name of Saint-Genès. It comprises a single nave of five bays, a choir bay and a seven-sided apse.
