Built in the middle of the XVth century, it is in time(period) a private house. Credit Lyonnais(inhabitant of Lyon) settles down in this urban island in 1863 and gives up(sells) the building(ship) to the City of Lyons in 1956, it is in this period when works are done with the aim of the opening of the museum in 1964 the themes of the printing of which cleared themselves by the importance of the city as production site and centre of business(trade) of books(pounds) in the XVth and XIXth centuries The naming «Museum of France» was attributed(awarded) in 2005 to the museum of the Printing which becomes in 2015 museum of Printing and of graphic Communication.
