The Departmental archives of the Drôme keep(preserve) and pass on(transmit) the administrative and historic memory of the territory drômois and of his inhabitants of the Middle Ages in our days: the most old(former) document dates of 1088, the most recent, of 2011\. Archives are kept(preserved) on 30 linear km divided on two sites, with an increase of 300 m shelf spaces a year. Four missions of Archives are the collection, classification(ranking), preservation and communication of documents.
