Cloître de l'Abbaye de La Chaise-Dieu
Avenue de la Gare 43160 La Chaise-Dieu

The visit of the Abbey of La Chaise-Dieu highlights the numerous riches of the abbey classified as historical monuments: organ, stalls, tomb of Pope Clement VI, fresco of the macabre dance, room of the echo, cloister, etc. 500 years of history are also to be discovered around 14 restored tapestries. A true national treasure, these 14 tapestries are exhibited in unique conditions of light and proximity, in an architectural setting specially renovated for this purpose. An innovative scenography plunges young and old into the history of the abbey. Extraordinary stories to be told via thematic guided tours in addition to the visit of the discovery route of the entire site.
