During a bucolic and relaxing walk, meet a variety of animals from the regions: draft horses from Auxois, goats from the Massif Central, sheep from Noir-du-Velay, chickens from Forez, pigeons from Gier, turkeys and donkeys from Bourbonnais... Nearly 40 local domestic breeds are preserved in Bouthéon.
Also enjoy the thousand and one scents, colors and shapes that await you in the various gardens and wooded areas of the castle: rose garden, vegetable garden, arboretum, useful plant garden, orchards, French garden…

Old(Former) residence of Bourbon (XVth and XVIth centuries) and from Gadagne (from XVIth century till XVIIIth century), altered in the XIXth century, the Castle of Bouthéon is from now on a place open to the public. One thought of several routes(courses) of visit to satisfy the curiosity of each, youngs as big(great). Much more than a historic site, the Castle of Bouthéon suggests you discovering its centre of interpretation(performance) on Bore it, its aquariums on the river the Loire, its space of temporary exhibitions(exposures) as well as its wildlife and botanical park of 12 hectares.
