The information office of Montpezat-de-Qquercy welcomes you to discover the heritage of this charming medieval city.
In Montpezat-de-quercy, you will admire the collegiate church built in the 14th century in the Gothic style, and where there are Flemish tapestries of high smooth evoking brilliantly the life of Saint Martin and his legend, an important treasure, paintings, English alabasters, statues, precious fabrics, baptismal fonts of the sixteenth century. In the heart of the village, the 14th century city gate, the House of Canons of the 15th and 17th centuries, and the Renaissance houses and squares of the Town Hall, and finally the cloister of the 17th century Ursulines invite you to stroll. In Montpezat-de-quercy there are remains of a Gallo-Roman settlement. The village reached its peak in the Middle Ages. In the thirteenth century, most noble houses adopted the Cathar cult.
