We invite you to an afternoon «Nature-Culture», to share together all the richness of the Venetian heritage. Music, readings, creative arts, garden arts, from the School of Music to municipal greenhouses, board with us in the bus that will leave at 2pm from the City Hall. In the preamble of the Sustainable Human Development and Mobility Week, from 19 to 23 September
The afternoon will begin gently at the Jean Wiéner School of Music with a musical nap with the sounds of nature, amplified music created especially for the occasion by Stéphane Lambert, artist teacher.
We will then join the municipal greenhouses for many activities, planned for young and old, alone, with friends or family:
- Guided tour of the municipal greenhouses of Vénissieux. This horticultural production centre is exceptional in Lyon. It sustainably supplies the entire city of Vénissieux, with its 4 flowers in the ranking of flowering towns and villages of France.
- Atelier «Le goût de la forêt» Artist Julie Escoffier has been working with an environmental engineer since 2021. Together they formed the Evernia duo that experiments with lichens, a symbiosis of a fungus and an alga. This organism is fascinating, both a bio-monitoring tool that informs about air quality, it is also a wonderful metaphor of the need to live and do together. Come discover, touch and smell the lichens. You can even taste them through original preparations prepared by the artist.
- Atelier Tataki-zomé: Japanese ancestral art, its principle is very simple and accessible to both children and adults. It consists in making an impression on a fabric or paper by hammering freshly picked and chosen plants on the spot. Hosted by Caroline Le Ster, founder of La Pousse Verte* Label Lyon Equitable and Sustainable City
- Readings in the garden: animated by the librarians of Vénissieux: readings for children (from 3 years) and kiosk for young and old, to browse quietly documents on sustainable development between two activities. Parents can enjoy a visit to the greenhouses or a workshop by entrusting the youngest children to the youth librarians.
