Welcome to Saint-Léon IX Church in Colmar, recognized as a remarkable contemporary architecture since 2016.

Its history, its architecture, its liturgical furniture, its organ,
Its stained glass windows under renovation since 2018,
The exhibition on architect Joseph Muller.
Special exhibitions organized:
The label «Heritage of the twentieth century»,
The Virgin of Pascal Bosshardt (stages of his conception).
Saturday, from 2 pm to 5 pm, will be the presentation of the organ Christian Guerrier by the titular organist José Kieffer.
A brochure in French, German, English or Portuguese will be offered and informative signs will accompany your journey. A fun course for children is also offered!

In 2016, the church was awarded the label «Remarkable Contemporary Architecture». According to the elements of appreciation retained, it is the witness of the modern churches built in Alsace in the 1960s. The motifs on the exterior of the lantern-dome, forming curves and counter-curves, are designed in harmony with those of the bell tower. The lantern-dome with its stained-glass windows, of which there are only a few other examples in the area, and the ceiling of the church are exceptional elements of the building.
