On the approval of the architect of the buildings of France, our file "Portail de l'Allée du Parc du château de Richardménil" was selected by the Heritage Foundation.
In the lower part of the village of Richardménil there is since 1540 the old dwelling of the Counts of Ludre. The property was surrounded by a wall of enclosure that still exists almost entirely. In the 19th century, an opening was opened to serve as a second entrance. A magnificent wrought iron gate was then installed. Today it needs a restoration in order to regain its function.
Indeed, the portal was temporarily deposited to guarantee the safety of users of the Parc Alley in view of its oxidation state. In addition, the parts that rotated each leaf were so degraded that they no longer allowed the portal to open or close. Also the lower parts of the portal are heavily damaged due to oxidation. They must be completely replaced. The restoration work will therefore focus on the recovery of the portal and its damaged elemen
