DEPARTMENTAL ARCHIVES OF GUADELOUPE
The purpose of the Departmental Archives of Guadeloupe is to ensure the collection, processing, conservation and enhancement of the written and iconographic heritage of Guadeloupe. The funds held come from the various administrations of the territory to which are added private archives (family archives, companies, photographers etc.), 10,000 works and 700 titles of periodicals.
These documents date from the 17th century to the present day and represent 6 linear kilometers. A reading room allows to carry out all kinds of research, genealogical, heritage, historical, economic etc. Conferences, temporary exhibitions, travelling, visits, as well as educational workshops for the school public are offered throughout the year.

Dance in the building with the contemporary dance company La Mangrove
The audience will follow the dancers in places that are usually non-transferable to the public in a choreography specially designed for the occasion.

Guided tours of the exhibition «Adolphe Catan, un regard guadeloupéen»
With the designers of the exhibition, discover Guadeloupe from the 1920s to the 1960s through 100 photographs by a well-known studio photographer from Guadeloupe, Adolphe Catan.
