Housed in a renovated artisanal complex, on the site of the former basketry workshop of "la Glaneuse", it preserves and presents to the public the witnesses of an activity that profoundly marked the history of this village community in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. From 1820 to 1978, dozens of workshops worked side by side, making wicker and rattan basketware for all types of human activities. Through the good times and crises, Cadenet has never ceased to be a village of basketmakers. The fabrications, the tools, the materials used in the workshops are presented in a vast exhibition room and along two side corridors. On a mezzanine, an audiovisual montage tells, through the words of a former worker, the daily life in Cadenet, when basketry flourished there.
