Guided tour of the Camp des Milles Memorial Site and children’s workshop
A link between the past and the present, the Camp des Milles is today the only large French internment and deportation camp (1939-1942) still intact, and represents one of the jewels of the World Heritage Memorial. How do I learn from the past? What would I do tomorrow if…? Discover its permanent museum and its temporary exhibitions covering 15,000 m2 during a three-part tour: historical, memorial and reflexive. The Reflexive and Citizen Strand, multidisciplinary and intergenoocidal, is a unique device in a place of memory in the world.
Workshops for children are offered in addition to the visits. They allow children aged 9 to 13 to learn about the history of the arts through the works of painters interned at the Camp des Milles. The visits and activities are carried out in accordance with the health instructions in force.
