Artistic practices speak of this point of junction between injury, break, accident, trauma, breakdown… and rehabilitation, restoration, care, conjuration. Whether these methods or techniques are aimed at matter, the body or the intimate.
In this space housing ARTEUM MAC dating from the XVII-XVIII century, where art and time draw a new landscape with each passage or weather, where the process of repair is never closed, this theme echoes with the place, with accuracy.

Since 1990, and thanks to the support of the municipality of Châteauneuf-le-Rouge, the museum of contemporary art ARTEUM is located on the 2nd floor of the castle of the City Hall. Over the years, the programming initially oriented to Provençal painting and the painters of the Peano has gradually evolved towards the current creation, without ever losing sight of the reference to the past.
Today, the museum presents three exhibitions a year and develops actions to support contemporary creation while favouring access to art for all in the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region. By multiplying partnerships and varying themes, the art space has become in recent years a place for encounters and exchanges between artists of regional and national or even international renown, culture professionals and art lovers of all generations and backgrounds, the most diverse audiences.
