Discover the historical links that have united Les Baux and Monaco for more than 400 years. The seigneury of Les Baux was given in 1642 by King Louis XIII to Hercule Grimaldi, Prince of Monaco, to thank him for his policy in favour of the French crown.
During the French Revolution, the Monegasque family was dispossessed of the place but the title of Marquis des Baux continues to be traditionally worn by the hereditary Prince, now Prince Jacques.
Your guide evokes the stages of the past that united the two rocks. It offers you a journey through time to discover the traces left by the Monegasque Sovereigns.
