Since 2014, the Town of Carpentras has initiated the renovation of the hotel-Dieu. At the same time, a major collections project is being undertaken to restore the works scheduled for permanent exhibition and to transfer the bibliographic collections to their new setting. These operations were the occasion of beautiful surprises, which the public is invited to discover during this temporary exhibition. In a word, beware of appearances…

Based(Established) in 1750 by Dom Malachie d' Inguimbert, classified as "Historic Monument", the Hôtel-Dieu receives since 2017 the library(bookcase)-museum (section library(bookcase) of public reading) which left the same prelate to the City in 1757\. The bibliographic bottoms and muséales collections will be transferred in the new spaces of the Hôtel-Dieu in 2019\.
