The Concert Sous La Langue pays tribute to the richness of the languages spoken in our world cities. In this innovative concept, three artists explore the musicality of speech through a vast sound collection carried out among multilingual people of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The recordings of the collected voices are integrated into the live music that invites a cosmopolitan journey and reveals the beauty and intensity of languages: witnesses to the diversity of our humanity.
Languages are all ways of seeing, living and telling the world. Recognized as intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO, they are at the heart of everyone’s identity and are intimately linked to the major developments in our history. They also tell us and above all how migratory movements have always contributed to enriching and shaping our societies.
The Concert Sous La Langue brings together three musicians from jazz, rock, Arab-Andalusian music and electroacoustic arts. These various influences make up an original work where cosmopolitan languages, Musiques d'aujourd'hui and Musiques du monde agree for a moving and communicative concert experience
