The Man'yôshû is the first anthology of Waka, Japanese poetry, and dates from around 760. The Sômonka is made up of two Tankas who respond in a loving dialogue. Very codified, like the Tanka and the Haiku, the subjectivity of the feeling of love merges in the collective imagination. How to translate the singularity of a work, the meaning of the poem as such, its poetry, in a language, French, with different resources?
