" Naissance et développement du bourg au Moyen-Age" - Parné prospéra grâce au passage d’une route importante, le chemin valais, chemin de Laval venant de Tours jusqu’ au Mont-Saint-Michel. Les pèlerins tourangeaux y faisaient donc escale avant de poursuivre leur chemin vers le Mont Saint Michel … sans avoir oublié de demander la protection de Saint-Christophe dont une représentation est toujours visible à l’entrée de l’église
