The church of St Pierre was built around the year 1000 on an older cemetery. From that time the Romanesque nave with its primitive narrow windows dates. The porch tower, built in the 12th century, retains its Romanesque stone spire: the only one in Mayenne. The two Gothic chapels forming the transept are additions of the 15th century. Finally the choir was rebuilt in 1895. An early representation of Saint Christopher (13th century) adorns the base of the tower (right on entering). The paintings made in the 16th century, in the nave, illustrate devotions (The Virgin with the Seven Swords), crafts of the time (shoemakers, carpenters, doctors) through their holy patrons and a moralizing tale (The Bavarians). The pulpit dates from the end of the 17th century and houses the painting of the Virgin of the Rosary (1622) and a beautiful Descent from the Cross (1668).
